PURPOSE & GOALS

New Kind of Hope: Instilling a new kind of hope in mental health treatment borne out of the spirit of the Gospel. Human beings desire towards a vision of a good/quality life and at New Hope Therapists, we believe that vision can become a reality no matter how hopeless someone’s situation is. This is the reason for the following program slogans: out of the old comes the newit’s the same you but just a new youwhen there is no reason for hope, we keep hoping; and even a tree has hope that it will sprout again when cut down. When person-centered and evidence-based approaches to mental health are coupled with this new kind of hope borne out of the spirit of the Gospel, healing, growth, and quality of life can become a reality.

Healing Presence in Communities: At the core of our mission is to work to improve the health and wellbeing of the community especially the most vulnerable. At New Hope Therapists, we do this by remaining part of the people and the communities we serve by presence and proximity. We value relationships with the people we serve. In fact, we believe behavioral health prevention and intervention is more effective with the people we build relationship with. By presence and proximity, we tailor preventative and intervention services that address symptoms, behaviors, thought processes, etc., that assist in eliminating barriers to seeking or maintaining quality of life and increase capacity to positively impact one’s own environment.

Increased Access and Engagement of Mental Health Services: The premise for New Hope Therapists is therapeutic mental health services to those who need it the most such as the homeless population and vulnerable communities. New Hope Therapists service location in vulnerable communities, CPST on site and off site, as well as areas served by Mobile Coaches are designed to increase access and engagement of outpatient mental health services to those who need it the most.
